    What We Actually Did:
    Everyone woke up before 6am, met at 2525 Durant. Then 3-hr car ride to Boreal, drop by McDonald's before leaving Berkeley. Went back to William's place briefly after McDonald's because he forgot his glasses. Took 1.5 hrs to get ski equipment because Haotian and Geoff picked up mismatching ski boots. Perlin's first time seeing snow. Go down the beginner slope a couple times before taking beginner lessons from an old instructor named Rich. Then ski one more time before going for lunch. Geoff predicts us getting tired after food; Haotian knocks out and goes to sleep in the lounge upstairs. The rest of us go to the Accelerator but the easy routes down are closed, so we go back to the previous route. Perlin gets tired afterwards and goes to the lounge as well. Geoff and Will go on the Accelerator a few times and take the Prospector (blue route) down, but Geoff can't control his speed so we go back to the beginner route. Persuade Haotian and Perlin to ski again a couple more times before we leave. Will goes to ski down the Prospector a couple more times while everyone else is building miniature snowmen. Then return everything and take a 3-hr drive back. Stop by Home Town Buffet and Lucky's for food; Geoff and Will get takeout from Home Town while Perlin and Haotian go to Lucky's for canned pineapples. Will jinxes Haotian putting all his pineapple cans in the trunk and not being able to eat in the car; Haotian denies it at first before wanting a slice of pineapple and borrowing from Will's takeout.

There's a 3-day weekend coming up on Nov.11.  I doubt anyone is free Thanksgiving with family and all, so we should go on Veteran's Day instead (unless you do something special that day ).

It'll be at Boreal (www.borealski.com) as usual.  Your first time will cost $70 but includes rentals and lessons as well.  Then the 2nd and 3rd time you go will only cost $30 for the same deal (and more advanced lessons).

We'll leave early at 7am and head home about 5pm; bring food if you don't want to buy.  If you or your parent can drive, please ask.  It's a regular highway with multiple lanes - no narrow roads, not too far into the winter so you shouldn't need chains.

Time and Place:
6am = Be ready to be picked up.  Leave Berkeley.
8am = Arrive in Sacramento, leave for Boreal.
10am = Arrive at Boreal.
5pm = Leave Boreal to head home.
6pm = Dinner in Sacramento.
7pm = Leave Sacramento for Berkeley.
9pm = Back in Berkeley.

Hey I checked the road conditions as of Saturday night, and you WILL need snow chains to get to Boreal. Also just asked my friend if he's interested, will let you know when he responds. Not sure if he has snow chains though.
