Title: Tournament Day 1 Post by: hsch on August 28, 2010, 10:10:10 PM Remember, remember,
the Fifth of November. The Berkeley Canasta Tournament begins on November 5. Read the detailed tournament rules at http://canasta.pftq.com/TournamentRules.haha (http://canasta.pftq.com/TournamentRules.haha) Sign up for the tournament at https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?hl=en&formkey=dF9IWUFsVVhaTVVVREVoRTRVbU9mNnc6MQ#gid=0 (https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?hl=en&formkey=dF9IWUFsVVhaTVVVREVoRTRVbU9mNnc6MQ#gid=0) The tournament will be run Swiss-style. Each team will play six rounds - three of them on November 5, three of them on November 12. There is no elimination. The match-up in the first round is random. In each subsequent round, teams are matched up according to how well they have done so far in the tournament. Rounds are played to 1500 points. To simplify counting, only canastas (pure or mixed), red 3's, and going out count for points. Title: Re: Tournament Day 1 Post by: pftq on November 07, 2010, 11:07:14 AM Points have been updated:
